Why Book A Personal Trainer Session?

Working with a personal trainer is a great way to not only stay motivated but to ensure you are doing the right type of activity to reach your goals. A personal trainer can help you develop an exercise programme that is just the right intensity and pace.

Functional Exercise

Functional exercise focuses on everyday movement and the combination of muscle groups we use to carry out everyday tasks. If required, a functional exercise session can be booked with a personal trainer.

Functional exercise is focused around seven basic movements: squatting, pulling, pushing, lunging, bending, walking and rotation. Working on these movements, with a trainer here at the gym, and at home will cover all the movements you need to get back to fitness.

Personal Trainer Pricing

Our personal training sessions are priced at £50 per session and must be booked in advance. Tier two gym members receive one free personal training session per month.

What To Expect From A PT Session

Each session with a VIM Gym personal trainer lasts for one hour and is designed for maximum learning. The start of your session will be you and your trainer getting to know each other, and your trainer asking questions to gain an understanding of your current fitness levels, what sort of exercise you normally do, and any limitation you may have – a re-occurring injury, for example.
