Helping you move forward after brain or spinal cord injury

Neurological physiotherapy supports people living with conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord, or peripheral nerves. Whether your goal is to walk independently, regain balance, or improve everyday coordination, our experienced physios can help by harnessing the brain’s ability to rewire itself – a process known as neuroplasticity.

Conditions We Support

We work with a range of neurological conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Stroke

  • Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Brain Injury (Traumatic or Acquired)

  • and other neurological conditions (if you don’t see yours listed here, please feel free to give us a call to discuss your physiotherapy needs)

When the central nervous system is damaged, messages from the brain may not reach corresponding parts of the body. This can lead to weakness, loss of movement or sensation, uncoordinated movements, spasms, or tremor. This could affect the whole body or may affect one area but in most cases will lead to changes in a persons function or participation. This is where a bespoke intensive rehabilitation programme combining innovative technology, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, can support your recovery journey.

Your Personalised Rehabilitation Plan

No two people are the same, so we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment. Our physiotherapists will collaborate with you to set clear, achievable goals that matter to you – whether it’s getting out of bed more easily, walking to the shop, or reducing your risk of falls.

Your rehab plan may include:

  • Functional movement training and gait re-education

  • Strengthening and stretching exercises

  • Balance training to reduce falls

  • Use of assistive devices and robotic rehab technology

  • Hydrotherapy in an accessible pool

  • Splinting and posture management

  • Task-specific practice for activities such as cooking or dressing

We also work closely with our occupational therapy and rehab tech teams to offer a joined-up, holistic approach.
