Post Operative Rehabilitation Service

Every type of surgery will come with one or a number of post-operative side effects or consequences. Rehabilitation physiotherapy can help reduce the negatives and get you back on your feet after surgery. Providing you have been advised it is safe to do so, returning to gentle activity as soon as possible can also help you recover faster and improve wellbeing.

Ankle, Knee and Hip Rehabilitation With LYRA

Rehabilitation after a total knee replacement or surgery is notoriously difficult as mobility and the ability to weight bare can be tricky. At VIM Health we offer specific knee surgery/replacement post-operative rehabilitation using the incredible LYRA Antigravity Treadmill.
Using NASA technology, the LYRA enables you to walk on a treadmill with increased levels of weightlessness. Walking is beneficial for knee health but in certain circumstances, it may be too painful or even cause further damage to put too much stress on the knee – following knee surgery, LYRA provides you with a safe, painless way to exercise.

-Optimise recovery

-Reduce pain

-Increase mobility and range of motion

-Promote healing

-Increase quality of life

Rehabilitation can start as soon as it is safe to do so, and we will invite you to our clinic for an initial assessment. We also offer treatment for patients that have had surgery but didn’t immediately participate in rehabilitation.
