No. You can self-refer yourself to our services. Some people are referred to us by their GP or Consultant which is also ok. We are happy liaising and working with others that may be involved in your care or rehabilitation, including family, the NHS or other rehabilitation services.

Yes, you can. Before committing to treatment, please double-check with your insurance company and remember to mention insurance at your first appointment, and bring the necessary documents with you.

Each therapy session at VIM Health will vary between patients so we can’t answer this beforehand, but you can expect to be mobilising, exercising, or training in some way.

There may also be hands-on therapy from one of our professionals. Once you get started with us, you will have a treatment plan that will give you more details on what to expect from each session.

Again, this varies depending on your treatment plan and condition.

Yes, you are more than welcome to bring someone with you to both therapy sessions and when attending the Gym.

Results from rehabilitation therapy are very individual and can depend on the illness or injury you are recovering from, how long ago it was, and other factors such as the areas of the body that are affected.

Our key aim initially is to understand your goal. Some people may be aiming for walking again, others may want to be able to pick up a cup – we can help at either end of the spectrum of recovery and will discuss this during your initial assessment.

Therapy sessions usually include physical motion so clothing and footwear that are not restrictive are necessary. It’s also important that you feel comfortable.

Depending on your treatment, your therapist may need access to certain areas of your body too so for example, if you are working on your lower leg, shorts would be appropriate.
