VIM Health has a multi-disciplinary team of therapists based right here at our East Sussex rehabilitation clinic. From occupational therapists to rehab assistants, every member of our team works together to ensure you have a smooth journey with us and receive the best possible care.

Our Clinical Team
Tom Taverner
Founder and Clinical Director
Tom is the founder of the company along with Jon Graham and Crispin Simon. Tom is a qualified physiotherapist with a special interest in utilising technology to supplement hands on therapy and improve the outcomes and experience of clients. Along with the other founders and team here at VIM, his vision is to create a space where technology and evidence meets holistic practices to provide comprehensive care package’s that are supported by a strong community in a space designed for wellness.
Tom is also passionate about outdoor activities such as surfing and wild swimming and is a keen sportsman with a focus on healthy living. This is in part why VIM Gym is so important as a new concept, as it is apparent how difficult access to quality equipment and appropriate spaces are for certain community members.
Jon Graham
Founder and Medico-Legal Partner
Jon obtained his Batchelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Teesside in 1992. He also holds a Masters’ Degree in Cognitive Psychology. Jon is a Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist with extensive experience of treating adults and adolescents with complex Neurological conditions and Polytrauma using manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and technology.
Jon prepares Physiotherapy medico-legal reports, and has prepared quantum reports for Claimants, quantum and causality reports for Defendants and quantum reports for both parties as a Single Joint Expert. He has also been instructed by solicitors to prepare reports since 2012 addressing the suitability of and potential benefits of exoskeleton technology use for claimants.
Jon has a passion for outdoor activities from cycling, ultra marathons and can often be found abseiling down a cliff or waterfall.
Bex Walters
Clinical Lead - Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist
Bex qualified as a physiotherapist in 2012 and has worked across three large teaching hospitals in London. She has developed skills in the assessment and rehabilitation of individuals following stroke, neuro-surgery, progressive neurological disorders and peripheral nerve diseases.
She currently works as the primary physiotherapist within the cerebral palsy service at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. She has extensive knowledge in the management of spasticity and rehabilitation post botulinum toxin injections. Also within functional electronic stimulation (FES). She has completed courses in facial rehabilitation, the PD warrior course, upper and lower limb splinting, ‘explain pain’ and the three week Bobath course.
Rebecca has a keen interest in music and travel, often combining the two is her idea of heaven.
Sophie Peters
Physiotherapist
Since qualifying as a physiotherapist in 2018, Sophie has worked at University Hospitals and Haywards Heath. During this time she progressed from a junior to a senior role. Sophie worked across an extensive variety of settings and acquired a keen interest in neurological rehabilitation during her time in Sussex Rehabilitation Centre, the hyper-acute stroke unit and the major trauma ward.
Outside of work, Sophie loves to go on long walks in the countryside with family and friends. And a spot of paddle boarding (in fair weather).
Tom Freeman
Sports Therapist & Technology instructor
Tom qualified as a personal trainer in 2010 and more recently as a sports therapist in 2017. He has worked in three different Physiotherapy clinics across the country.
Whilst qualified in Sports Massage, Acupuncture and Kinesiology Taping, Tom also has a special interest in Musculoskeletal conditions and neurological rehabilitation.
Using exercise principles, Tom provides injury prevention and rehabilitation programs to help clients return to optimal levels of functional fitness and mobility.
Tom likes to keep an active lifestyle and enjoys hiking and cycling with his Siberian Husky. He has also been passionate about sport, and loves a bit of Cricket or Football.
Charlotte Buckingham
Physiotherapist
Charlotte qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2012 and has worked in London, Brighton and Australia since then. She has experience and developed skills in neurology, acute stroke care, neurosurgery and neuro rehab.
She currently works at the University Hospital Sussex Trust as the Team Lead on the Comprehensive Stroke Unit in Brighton, and is passionate about making rehabilitation fun, rewarding and challenging. She has done additional training in upper and lower limb casting, introduction to Bobath and postural stability work.
In her free time, whilst not looking after her two young children, Charlotte has a passion for home improvement and often starting another DIY project.
Lisa Croggon
Physiotherapist
Lisa qualified from Brighton university in 2011 and has always had an interest in neurology. Since qualifying she has built up extensive experience in acute, inpatient, neuro-rehab, and community settings throughout Surrey and London. Lisa is also currently working as part of the Multiple Sclerosis team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neuroscience, Queens square.
“I have knowledge, skills and experience in treating people with a range of neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, Guillain-Barre syndrome, Stroke, Motor Neurone Disease Parkinson’s Disease, Neuromuscular conditions and other progressive neurological conditions.
In my spare time I like going running, cycling and occasionally paddle boarding – although since having a baby last year my time now is usually spent at a soft play or a library rhyme time.”
Sarah Everett
Physiotherapist
Sarah obtained her Bsc Physiotherapy degree in 2018 from Kings College London. She has since worked in a variety of settings throughout East Sussex and Dorset – covering the whole recovery journey from acute care, to inpatient rehab, outpatient physio and community teams. Sarah has completed additional training including Bobath advanced handling techniques and orthotics.
She is also a qualified Yoga Teacher, and feels strongly about holistic treatment and accessible activity. She attends a Neuroscience in Yoga conference annually.
Outside of work Sarah enjoys hiking in the downs, lots of yoga and various martial arts.
Sasha Macrae
Physiotherapist
Sasha is a warm and holistic musculoskeletal physiotherapist with
a background in treating performing artists and people with chronic pain. She
was the resident physiotherapist for the Institute of Contemporary Theatre
between 2021-2023 and is experienced in reformer Pilates, sports & holistic
massage, and stretch therapy. She currently divides her time between a private
MSK clinic in Brighton and Vim Health, using her knowledge of exercise and
rehabilitation to grow as a new neurological physiotherapist at Vim Health.
Sasha treats with a friendly, collaborative, patient-centred approach and can help diagnose and rehabilitate injuries, prescribe exercise plans, and help you reach your exercise or functional goals. She is passionate about dance and circus skills and spends a lot of her time upside down.

Sophie Green
Occupational Therapist
Sophie qualified in 2012 and has a varied and extensive range of experience both personally and professionally within the field of Neurorehabilitation.
Her particular focus is the value if working interdisciplinary to break down the barriers within the complex physical and cognitive changes of her clients.
Sophie is passionate about the individual needs of each of her clients, realising the art of listening and the building of trust is often the most valuable stage of supporting any rehabilitation journey. Identifying one’s priorities is what Sophie believes drives one’s recovery. Hence, she is always exploring opportunities to develop herself as an occupational therapist to continue to gain the necessary additional skills to ensure she can support her clients to achieve their best possible outcome.
In her spare time Sophie is a mosaic artist and balances her life by practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with her family, friends and her spaniel, Chihiro
Our Management Team
Crispin Simon MBE
Founder and Advisory Board Chair
Crispin Simon is chair of the Advisory Board and, from the start, has shared the same vision of Tom and Jon, his co-founders. Alongside his role at Vim Health, Crispin is Chair of Prothea Technologies, a medical technology University spin-out; and prior to this, he was British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India and HM Trade Commissioner for South Asia.
Crispin has extensive leadership and commercial experience across both the private and public sectors. He spent 20 years as chief executive of medical technology companies operating in the fields of cardiology, cancer and neurological rehabilitation. He was formerly a non-executive director of two NHS organisations: The Trust Development Authority and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Crispin is a trustee of OSCAR, a charity that supports education through team sports in low income communities in India.
Outside of work he has a keen interest in sport with an ever watchful eye over his local Bath Rugby team.
Sadie O’Reilly
Operations Manager
Sadie has 20+ years of management experience, managing large teams of people across different companies and over multiple sites. Sadie works alongside the clinical team to ensure all the operational aspects of the company flow seamlessly which in turn supports the customer experience. Recently taking on a career change to follow ambitions of improving peoples lives she has stepped in the role at VIM.
Outside of work Sadie is a health enthusiast and can often be seen paddling around the pier on her paddle board at Brighton beach.
Hayley King
Communications Manager
Hayley is our content creator and social media extraordinaire. She’s the one behind the scroll, recording footage and who you’ll be speaking to should you send us a DM on any of our socials. She puts together our quarterly newsletter and can also be found researching behind the scene for new leads.
Hayley works for us part time and when she’s not at work she’s either on the school run, at an after school club or squeezing a gym session before the sun comes up.
